Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final hopes have been dealt a significant blow as star winger Raphinha suffers a hamstring injury while on international duty with Brazil. The 29-year-old, who has scored 19 goals in all competitions for Barcelona this season, is expected to be out for around five weeks, ruling him out of the crucial tie against Atletico Madrid on April 8 and 14.
Raphinha’s injury came during Brazil’s 2-1 friendly defeat to France in the United States, and he is now returning to Barcelona to begin treatment. This is a major blow for Hansi Flick’s side, who were looking to make a deep run in the Champions League.
