This move aims to enhance online safety and provide parents with an added layer of protection for their teens. The alerts will be sent to parents via email, text, or WhatsApp, depending on the contact information available, as well as through an in-app notification. This feature is part of Instagram’s ongoing efforts to promote a safer online environment, especially for younger users.
