Renowned actor Robert Duvall, known for his iconic roles in “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now,” has sadly passed away at the age of 95. Duvall, who won an Academy Award for his performance in “Tender Mercies,” left an indelible mark on Hollywood with his versatility and depth. His wife, Luciana Duvall, confirmed his peaceful passing at their home in Middleburg, Virginia, stating, “To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything”.
Duvall’s career spanned over six decades, with memorable performances in films like “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “The Great Santini,” and “Lonesome Dove”. His portrayal of Tom Hagen in “The Godfather” and Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore in “Apocalypse Now” remains iconic. Duvall’s dedication to his craft earned him seven Oscar nominations and numerous awards, including four Golden Globes and two Emmys.
