Phan Huy, a 27-year-old Vietnamese designer, has made history as the youngest-ever designer to present a collection on the official Haute Couture calendar in Paris. His Spring/Summer 2026 collection, inspired by Vietnam’s former royal Nguyen dynasty, featured airy evening dresses with light muslin and tulle fabric, along with hand-stitched floral and beaded embellishments. Phan’s achievement marks a milestone for Vietnamese fashion, showcasing the country’s creativity and cultural heritage on the global stage. His business partner, Steven Doan, emphasized that they want to prove Vietnam’s capability in fashion beyond its reputation as a manufacturing hub for mass-market Western clothes.
