LeBron James’ remarkable 21-year streak as an NBA All-Star Game starter has finally come to an end. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar was notably absent from the starting lineup announced for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, marking the first time he hasn’t made the starting five since his rookie season in 2004. Despite being one of the league’s top players, James’ recent injury and slower start to the season likely contributed to his omission.
The Western Conference starters include Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, and Victor Wembanyama, while the Eastern Conference starters feature Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Brunson, Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey, and Jaylen Brown. Although James won’t be starting, he can still earn a spot as a reserve, with NBA coaches selecting the remaining players on February 1.
