The America’s Cup is set to become a bi-annual event, with the 38th edition scheduled for Naples in 2027. This change is part of a broader effort to modernize the competition, increase its global appeal, and provide more opportunities for emerging sailing nations. The new format includes a cost cap of €75 million, eco-friendly innovations, and a stronger focus on women’s and youth participation. The America’s Cup Partnership (ACP), comprising five founding teams, will oversee the event’s management and commercial aspects, aiming to create a more sustainable and inclusive model for the sport.
