Two prisoners have been hospitalized at HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow, Scotland, after one of them allegedly consumed disinfectant. The incident occurred when the prisoner, whose identity has not been disclosed, ingested the substance, prompting immediate medical attention. Another prisoner, who was with the individual at the time of the incident, was also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) has confirmed that both prisoners received medical treatment, and their condition is being monitored. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway. The safety and well-being of prisoners are of utmost importance, and the SPS is working to determine how the disinfectant was accessed and what measures can be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
