The number of vehicles that are licensed is 63 every single day in Malta whether brand new or second-hand in a research conducted by the National Statistics Office (NSO).The Agency released its information about motor vehicles that are in Malta which was recorded in the second quarter of 2024. It discovered that the inventory of registered motor vehicles grew by a net 765 in this time period.
The bulk of licensed vehicles “new” motor vehicles totals approximately 59.1 percent and 40.9 percent of them being “used” motor vehicles.
In the quarter that ended in March there were 9,111 motor vehicles that were banned from being removed from the roads. The majority of them were resold. 28.7 percent of the motor automobiles were garaged and 29.2 percent had limitations. 4462 cars had restrictions expire during the quarter. Most of them were stored, comprising 52.5 percent of the 4462 vehicles, while 46.8 percent were sold.
