To address this issue, the parish decided that those who gave the largest contribution would receive the privilege of being the ones to carry the statue.
It is limited to Mgarr residents. The amount that was donated to support the statue’s construction was around EUR 15,000. The most expensive donation was $46,000, which was made in 2022 in celebration of the century’s birthday.
